With so many road accidents over the festive season, it’s so important for parents to strap their little ones properly into a car seat. Without the protection of a car seat, your tot is vulnerable to serious injury or even death in any accident.
Recent statistics revealed by the Global Road Safety Partnership SA and the Road Safety Fund showed that there are over 1.3 million motor vehicle fatalities every year.
This is why we’re so passionate about promoting the Car Seats For Kids Campaign which was launched by 94.7 Highveld Stereo’s Breakfast Xpress show in partnership with IMPERIAL I-Pledge on 1 October.
Presenters Darren Simpson and Samantha Cowen are urging road users to donate their used car seats. All the donated car seats will be re-upholstered, safety checked and cleaned by Wheel Well before distribution.
If your little one has outgrown his car seat and if it’s just gathering dust in the garage, put it to good use and donate it to someone who needs it.
Where to drop off the car seats?
94.7 Highveld Stereo’s Altech Netstar Ground Patrol team will be at the East Rand Mall on Friday 4 October from 7:00am to 4:30pm to collect seats.
Wheel Well is based in Brightwater Commons, Randburg, Johannesburg and will serve as a constant drop off point during weekdays.
